The field closed up going down tho back, where Erin’s Queen was with Vice Admiral in the lead. Half a mile from Home the field was bunched, with the exception of 'Cello Sydney Wilkes. Trix Pointer then took charge, and at tho home turn she was just clear of Matchlight, Author Dillon, Vico Admiral and Agathos. Matchlight ran to the front at the entrance to the otraight, and won comfortably by threo lengths from Vice Admiral, who beat Author Dillon by two lengths, with Agathos a length further back.
