SYDENHAM BOWLING CLUB

The annual general meeting of club members was held on Thursday evening. In presenting the report and balance-sheet, tlio committee congratulated members on the prosperity of the club, the membership being 76 and assets £I7S 11a 3d. Chib competitions were well patronised during the season. Nino rinks were entered for Centro pennants. Messrs Mitchell, Turnbull, Wilson and Spiller (skip) were successful in the Timarn tournament. The election of officers for the (matting season resulted: —Mr IV. Dobbs, president; Mr P. C. Chambers, vice-president; Mr ,7. Scot), honorary secretary; Mr Wilson, treasurer; Mr C. Allison, auditor; Messrs Turnbull, Cooper, Robertson, Butler and Fravlc, committee; Mr W. Spillor, Centro delegate; Messrs Chambers, Beattie and J. Taylor, match committee. The committee's recommendation that a trophy should be provided to commemorate peace year was agreed to. Messrs Mitchell S rid Scott offered to .provide the trophy. The club’s delegate was instructed to support pennant competitions the c-sme as in last season. It was dt-eided to hold a social at an earlv date, and Messrs Good. Fravle, Wilson and Cooper were appointed a committee to arrange it. Returned soldiers desirous of becoming members of th chib will be admitted r.t a fee to bo determined by the committee. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded past officers for their valuable services to the club.
