On Saturday evening the staff of the Crystal Palace Theatre made a presentation of a Morris chair to Mr A. E. Aoiuig, who is retiring from tho managership. The presentation was made by Miss Scribenor, day pianist, who asked Mr Young to accept the gift, as a token of appreciation and of tlm regard in which, ho was hold by overv member of the staff. The Hon W, D. S, Mac Donald. Minister of Agriculture, arrived in Christ;, church yesterday from Wellington- Ho will leave for Dunedin to-day to open the Winter Show to-morrow evening, and on Wednesday he will attend dm dinner of the National Dairy Association. On Thursday he will' leave for i Invercargill Mr Mac Donald will pass through Christchurch on his way north next Saturday night.
