MOTOR FATALITY.
YOUNG CHILD KILLED. CAR TURNS UPSIDE DOWN. A motor accident, which resulted ia fcho death c>l a child of' three years, occurred yesterday op the Gorge"Road ot btoneyroyd, AVaikari. The driver of tho car was Mr Duncan Kennedy, farmer, at tho Peaks, where Am Kennedy is postmistress. The other occupants ,of tho oar were Mr,> Kennedy and three children, the eldest being Hepzibah Strain Honora, who is .just over three years old. The accident was caused through tho bar connected with the steering gear breaking. 'Jho car ran to the side of tho road, and then capsized, turning upside down. The child Hepzibah was killed instantly, but tho other two little ones escaped unhurt. Mrs Kennedy received some painful facial injuries. Mr Kennedy was bruised and shaken, but did not sustain any serious hurts. The road, at the place at which tho accident occurred, was a good flat one. An inquest ia being held to-day.
