LUNCHES AT SCHOOL.
TO THE EPITOR. Sir,—l was glad to see that a correspondent had made a practical suggestion about hot lunches for children at school. It is always best for children to go home at midday for their dinner, but this is not always possible. Those who have to stay should be properly looked after, and their comfort attended to. At some country schools provision is made for the supply of hot cocoa., coffee or tea, and the little ones enjoy it very much. In all our town schools there should he some provision made, and I hope to hear that before tho winter is through all the schools have done something. Children should not be allowed to eat their lunches from a musty newspaper ■ wrapping, and the lunches should be taken under the supervision of a teacher, with something warm to wash it down.—l am, etc., PARENT.
