CASHMERE LADIES’ GUILD.
SEAMEN'S INSTITUTE Yesterday afternoon a pleasant time was spent huh© Y.M.O.A. concert hall, when Mrs Hastio and members of the Seamen’s Institute, Cashmere Ladies’ Guild, entertained about twenty cadets from the. s.s., Carpentaria with music, games and tea. Mr Booth accompanied the cadets, and in a short speech thanked iho ladies for their hospitality. In connection with the Cashmere Ladies’ Guild There are a number of young associates whose duty it is to help the older members to carry on thc( work, particularly in entertaining. It is the intention of the Cashmere Ladies’ Guild to take the names and addresses of sailors entertained, and to have a correspondence secretary to keep in touch with those who wish it. The names of the associates of. the Cashmere branch of the Seamen’s Institute are the-Misses "Williams, Foster, Aitcheson, M’Leod, Garrick. Blackburn, Wilson. Andrew. Gannon, Bundle, Venables, Richards and Barrett.
