All the funds gained go to assist the bine, ticket. The South New Brighton Burgesses’ Association has decided to assist the fund. The president, Air H. A. Glascr,n, and Messrs A. Hulme and A. Brown have been appointed to act on the committee. It was suggested that South Brighton should run a special function of its own. One suggestion was that a football match in fauev costume against the Borough Council members and staff would be a good draw METHODIST CHURCH. Citizens’ Sunday will be observed in the Methodirt Church to-morrow. The district Scouts will bo in nttendeuee in the morning, ami the Rev W. Walker will give an address on citizenship. Mr A. E. Lnwry wall conduct bis last service in tho evening, prior to entering camp. PICTURE THEATRE. The fine weather of this week has probably been the cause of increased attendances at the local picture show. The pictures each evening have been of very even merit and those for tho coming week promise to be even better than usual. On Tuesday next that popular little actress. Alary Aliles Alintet, wall appear in ‘‘Periwinkle,” and tho supporting programme will include part 16 of “The Iron Claw.” On Thursday a Metro will be shown entitled 11 Outwitted,” a strong drama, -tarring Emily Stevens. An additional attraction on these two evenings will be the appearance of “ Colos,” a banjo plater and musician of Dominion reente, who will plav nopulnr airs. On 'mtnrdev the star film will be “The Lnw of Compensation,” portraying Norma Tabnadge.
