The Press Bureau states that the meat rationing scheme applies to the whole of Britain from March 25. (A cablegram received on February 10 said:—The Food Minister’s meat rationing scheme for London and the Home counties was issued to-day. it provides for the use of meat cards' bearing four coupons, each of which enables a purchase during a week of fivepenco worth of uncooked meat, or alternatively uncooked poultry, game or horseflesh, ranging from five to twelve and a half ounces according to description, or alternatively three ounces of boneless or four ounces of bony uncooked ham or bacon, alternatively six to eight ounces of uncooked sausages, according to the meat contents, alternatively any of the foregoing uncooked moats' in a canned state, or as sandwiches, meat pies between two and a half and four ounces. Public eating housekeepers are to collect coupons in respect of meals served.)
