THE STOCKHOLM CONFERENCE. LABOUR'S CONFIDENCE IN MR. HENDERSON. (Received August 16. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON. August 15. Tt is expected that the Government! will forthwith he challenged in the House of Commons upon its refusal to grant passports to delegates to the proposed Stockholm Conference. The Labour Executive has issue a. report of to-day's meeting:, in which it is stated that it expressed confidence in Mr Henderson, who reviewed the entire situation. The ex-Minister read a telegram from MM. Huysmans and Branting, saying that they still considered it important that the Entente case should he presented. The Executive resolved that it is desirable to attend the Stockholm Conference in order to prevent the British Labour Party's views from being misrepresented and misunderstood. It expressed regret, at the refusal to grant passports, and decided to make representations to the. Government in connection with the matter.
