POLICE COURT NEWS.
LYTTELTON CASES. In the Lvttolton Court to-day Willi nm Enrlo and Gilbert Ellison, who pleaded guilty to a charge* of the theft of live canaries, throe cages and an aviary, were convicted and ordered to'como up for sentence when called upon. It was stated that accused had been given charge of tho birds and cages for tho passage from Wellington to LytteKon. B. M. Bamford of \"o. 4 Company of Torntonals, was 'fined £1 on each of three charges of absenting himself from parades and camps. C. J. Buckley was fined £1 for failing to attend parades, and K. h. Millerj on a similar charge, was convicted'and discharged.
