THE SUPPOSED SPY.
DEFENCE MINISTER, HAS NO INFORMATION. (Special to the "Star.") WELLINGTON. August 10. Mr George Witty recently asked the Minister of Defence whether he would give information regarding the supposed discovery and arrest of a steward who a spy, and who had travelled back and forward with tho transports since the outbreak of the war. Sir James Allen has replied that the. Department Had no information regarding the matter, but if the member would supply further details to enable the ship to be identified he would be glad to have a full inquiry made.
