BECKEHAM AFFAIRS.
Thp monthly mooting of the Reckonhnm Residents Association was held on Tuesday evening, in Mr Peek's Hall. Mr C. Boon presided and nineteen members were present. The .state of the road on Western and Eastern Terrace was discussed, members being unanimous that representations should be made to the Works Committee to grade and form the road in a proper manner. Tho <|UPstion of a, public Telephone to serve the residents of the St Martins district. was discussed, and it was decided that a petition siionld be signed and presented to the member for the district. The Malcolm Avenue septic tank was discussed, and it was stated that representations were being made to the Drainage Board to ascertain what, stops wore being taken in the matter. The ouestion of tree planting on Xoiwood Street was discussed, members being of tho opinion that such an undertaking would enhance the beauty of the district. It was decided that an address on the subject' should be given at the next monthlv meeting.
