LIBERATION OF SERBIA.
SPEECH BY Mil LLOYD GEORGE. "COMPLETE RESTORATION "WITHOUT RESERVATION." Renter's Telegrams. (Received August 9. noon.) LONDON, August 8. Mr Lloyd George, speaking at a Serbian Society luncheon, after paying a tribute to Serbia's part in the war, said that Serbia, which had been covered with dirt hv Turkish barbarism, was about to be cleansed. The first condition of peace must be complete restoration without reservation. British honour, said Mr Lloyd George, was involved in Reeing that, Serbia was freed. M. Pasitch, replying, said that GermsTny now spoke of honourable peace. Such a peace was only securable if the peoples under Austro-German rule were set if the unity of the Serbs, Croats and Slavines was achieved, if the Czechs and Slovaks became united and independent, and if the Polish question was solved—then only would an honourable peace be secured.
