Linwood met St Albans at Linwood Park, and Nomads and Boys' Gordon Hall occupied the oval at English Park. Following are the details of the play: NOMADS (7> v. BOYS' GORDON HALL (3). Boys' Gordon Ilall won the toss and Nomads kicked off facing the sun. Tlk Blues at once took up the runninc bu: Sturrock returned play. Mitchell secured and passed out to Hawkins. The latter returned and Mueheil opened the score. Boys' Gordon tiali attacked or. the left, Marshall nutting across :> good centre, which, no7.evcr, was no accepted. Watson relieved and sent his forwards away and Woods registered. From the kick Nomads away and Mitchell, securing, tricked Faas and added another goal. Boys' Gordon Hall now took up the running and Nicholson had an excellent opportunity of reducing the score, but hesitated and J. Grant, cleared. St Albans won the toss and Linwood kicked off, Pariett-'s kick going out to Hill, whose shot at goal wont wide, M'Lnchlan just afterwards was lot iti by Audibort, but his shot missed. _ A rush by the Greens gave an opening to Smith, who shot and. the ball glancing off, AMdibert placed Linwood one up. Pressure v.'as kept on the Saints' goal, and Harris scored with a shot into tlii- corner. Parlfitt scored the third goal with a shot from long range. St AlW.ns now - set up a. strong attack and forced a corner, which, howevei, was cleared. Mahau got away for fct Albans on the left wing and scored, making the tally 3-1. Play more even, but the spell of miafield plav was broken by Flood, placing Linwood 4-1. St Albans tried hard to get together, but could not pierce the Greens' defence, and half-time arrived without further score.

Upon resuming St Albans went away with a good rush, and Jewell passed nicely to Re.d, who scored. Linwood immediately retaliated, Hue centring, and Parlett. heading well out of Ladbrook's reach, increased the score to ,V~2. Malum now got av/ay for the Saints, but Karris pulled him up and sent his forwards; away. Smith ending the movement with a fast- &hot from long range, which gave Ladbrooks no chance. Score 0—"1. Nomads 15 <6) beat- St Bede's (1). Silvester (J) and Muir (2) scored for the winner.-,, and O'Reilly for the losers. Boys' Gordon Hall won by default from Western. Nomads A won by default from St Albans 8. closing stages wore full of interest, with the Blues having, if anything, the better of the exchanges, but. the filial whistle found each line uncrossed, a draw being perhaps the most approprince finish tor one of the best seen this season. SECOND GRADE. At the Polo Ground, Lincoln College and Mnrists played a drawn game, neither side scoring. Mr H. 0. Watson was referee. At North Park Sydenham (9) defeated Christchurch (3). For the winners Hawkins and 3larsha.il scored and Arnold converted a penalty goal, and lor the losers Cocks scored. Mr E. E. Luttrell was referee. At North Park Hoys' High School (14) defeat"d Linwood B (nil). For the winners Willowhy and Graham scored one try each, Mehriens converted a try and kicked two penalty goals. Mr H. C. VviHon v.\is referee. At Christ'?? College ground High School Old Boys (8) defeated Christ's College fni!) For the winners Carriek and Corbett each scored a try and Carrick converted cue :.iy. Mr R. Piercy was referee. O'd Roys retain their lead in the competition. THIRD GRADE. Ax the Polo Ground, Christ's College A M 7) defeated Bovs' High School B (nil). For the winners, Talbot (o>. Barker (2), Ta.pley ('2), Williams (2) and Fox (1A scored tries, and Averill converted four tri-s and kicked a pen::Jty goal. Mr A. Martin was referee.

At North Park Lvttolton H 9) defeated Boys' High School A (nil). For the winners Anst'vd, Duff, Collins, M'Cormnek and Ruddiford each scored a try. Collins and Porteous converted one 'ry each. Mr E. G. Watkins was teferee.

Ac North Park Technical College (11) defeated Marists (nil). For ihe winners Dawher and Nun an each scored a try, Wilson converted on* try and kicked a penal+y goal. Mr C. F. Atkjnson was referee.
