SELECTION OF THE DRAFT. WORK NOW IN PROGRESS. TREMENDOUS EXCITEMENT, Australian and N.Z. Coble Association* (Received July 21, 2.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 20. Intense interest centres in the selection of drafted men, which will commonco at the State Building this morning. Throughout the country thero is an unprecedented demand for tho newspapers, which aro bringing out scores of editions. The,so aro bought up as soon a.s they reach tho streets. Instead of the usual striking news headings, tho front pages are devoted to a mass of figures showing the order in which the recruits will be drawn. Crowds fight in tho streets to obtain editions. Tho drawing is unlikely to be completed till Saturday morning.
