SHIPPING FUSION.
UNION SHAREHOLDERS ACCEPT. [Per Press Association-.j DUNEDIN, July 20. In regard to the fusion of the P. and O. Company and the Union Company about 9o per cent of the shareholder* in the latter have agreed to hand in their shares. A circular has been issued to tho balnnco of the shareholders inviting them to act similarly. It is understood that a fair number o£.shareholders have retained a small holding out of sentiment, but ono or two have decided to keep the whoi« of their shares in the Union Company.
