A deputation representing the business and farming people of the Auckland district waited on tho Prime .Minister to-<lay to advocate the six o'clock closing of hotels in tho interests of national efficiency.
Mr M asscy, in replying, pointed out th ait;. Now Zealand's share in the war meant very heavy financial considera--tions, and it was absolutely essential that financial matters should be disposed of first. Olio of the first Bills to bo introduced: would bo a. Bill dealing with the matter in which tho deputation was interested, and he hoped that it would be satisfactory to them and to tho people of tho country generally,
