POLICE COURT NEWS.

TO-DAY'S CASES. (Before Mr T. A. B Bailey. S.M.) CHANGE OK ADORES. John Geary Kemp and Colin Campbell were charged with failing to notify their changes of address as required by the Military Service Act. Kemp said that he was in hospital at the time his furniture was shifted. He had live children. The Magistrate ordered defendant, to come up for sentence when called upon. Campbell pleaded not guilty. Mr Hunter appeared for defendant. A constable, giving evidence, said that the defendant had told him that, his wife had been very ill and she had gone into the hospital. He had then gone to live at his bakehouse. Mr Hunter said that the defendant had changed his address over sixmonths ago. Defendant said that he moved from his house in St Asapli Street on Dccem•ber 3. The case was dismissed. BY-LAW CASKS. Reg. Pepper, charged with riding his bicycle at night without a light, was fined 7s and costs. Clarence Gordon Amyes was charged with pillion ridine. Defendant pleaded that he did not know that, he was within the city boundary Avben the offence was committed He was fined oh without costs. Francis M'Cormack, charged with failing to have a rear light on his motor-car, was lined os and costs. Arthur Morton was similarly charged. Defendant said that the rear lamp was alight when he left tho Selwvn huts and it was still alight when he arrived in the city. The case was dismissed. Reginald Thomas Watkins was charged with using dazzling lights on his motor-car by night. After bearing evidence the case was dismissed. For allowing his cows to wander, John M'Kav was fined os and costs.
