THE-DESTROYER 'ACTION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. AMSTERDAM, July 18. The " Telegraaf" srtates that two British destroyers while firing at the German steamers wero within territorial waters. Three of the Livinia's crew and five of the Leonhardt's crew were killed and six were wounded. The Livinia reached Ymuiden and the Leonhardt was towed into Helder.
GERMANS INDIGNANT.
NEWSPAPER THREATENS HOLLAND. Reuter's Telegrams. AMSTERDAM, July 18. The Germans aro most indignant at the capture of the steamers, alleging that Britain has violated Holland's neutrality by bombarding Bergen op Zoom. The " Vossiche Zeitun.c'' says that the whole issue now depends on the attitude of the Dutch Government. Tt must understand that Germany demands a positive measure, not merely words, if sho wishes Germany to oontjn'iio to regard Holland as really neutral. If Holland fails to show firmness she must resign herself to her fate.
