Tho " Morning Post's " Retrograd correspondent, states that tho Russians warmly praise the gallantry of the British armoured car detachment in the recent, offensive. The detachment moved at early morning ahead of the cavalry scouts iind found sandbags artfully scattered along the roads. Volunteers, in face of almost, certain death, crawled out and dragged the bags away and tho cars advanced and opened tire. Subsequently intense concentrated artillery compelled them to retire. A German counter-attack was expected on tho following day. but the cars proceeded right up to the enrtuy's positions, with the result that a counter-attack was not attempted. Tho desperate courage displayed by the car crews established a strong Anglo-Russian brotherhood.
