All the committees have been communicated with, and in the majority of cases the suggestion has been approved.
Mr Fro? tick stated to-day that it was not intended to take any steps in that direction unless they meet with tiio complete approval of farmers in particular districts, whoso convenience will he considered. A methodical classification of em-ployment*-in the district now is in hand. Returns dealing with different industries arc being analysed. Many hundreds of .returns have been sent to the Commissioner, and continuous attention now is given to the work of classification.
