CLERK'S THEFTS.
o [Pek Press Association-.] WELLINGTON, August 23. A voung man named Thomas Balfour" James Mason pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court to the theft of £25 (is Bd, the property of the Wellington Publishing Company. Accused was an' advertisement clerk on the " Dominion " newspaper, and. afLer being discharged, an examination of the oooks showed the deficiency' named. The full amount had since been refunded. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was allowed, self in £25 aud one surety of a like amount. _______^___
