• A special meeting of the Rnngicra Borough Council was held this afternoon to consider th?- in rid si on of the Rangiora Boron ; rh in the rating area uml?/ th? l Wairnalrariri Harbour Board's Empowering Bill. The IVEcyor (Mr C. T. donning-presided, and Councilors M'Grner. B!ack<?tt, Lane, and liouso were pre?eut. ;hp Hon I>. Buddo and Mr F. Korrell, chairman of tho CVuuty Council, by im-ita-lic) n. Aft-er much discussion, during which Councillor Lane moved that objection gli:)tild bo nindi? to tiii* inclusion of the borough in the mtmg area, and if the objection was not- upheld that the borough should have equal representation on the Harbour Board with Kaiapni. it was decided to postpone the meeting till 0.1 o to em-a/re. -a largo attendance.
