HOSPITAL BOARD.
SUBSIDIES QUESTION. VIEWS OF MINISTER. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 21. The Hon G. W. Russell,, replying to a deputation from the Wellington Hospital Board on the question of subsidies paid to hospital boards, said that it was proposed next session, to introduce legislation to amend the present system. One provision would be that hospital board estimates most be submitted to his Department before being passed. It was also proposed to call a conference of representatives of hos* Dital boards before finally framing tho legislation.
