OBITUARY.
MRS SCHNEIDER. Mi's Elizabeth Schneider, whose death occurred at her residence, Durham Street, Christchurch, on Sunday morning last, was a colonist of fiftyfour years' standing. She was born at Carrick-on-Shannon, County Roscomman, Ireland, in 1840. and camo to New Zealand in the ship Exchange, which arrived at Tim am on Anniversary Day, 1862. She immediately came on to Christchurch, and had been a resident of this city until her death. Mrs Schneider lived a retired life, and. like most of the early colonists, enjoyed excellent health. She is survived by her husband and n grown-up family of five sons and one daughter.
