NEAR VERDUN.
GERMANS REPULSED. The Hißli Commissioner reports:— LONDON. April 28. \ French official message says that 80V oral German pahrols were repulsed alter grenade encounters. In the region of Verdun an intense bombardment is proceeding at Avocourfc redoubt and the organisations at Pepper Hill. A small enemy attack, directed at a trench element north of Fort Vaux, was arrested by our curtain lire. One of our pilots brought down a German aeroplane, which fell spirally in the forest of Spincourt. In Lorraine a German reconnaissance, attempting to attack our position cast of Les Mcsnil, was arrested.
