HEATHCOTE COUNCIL'S DECISION HxILF-HOLIDAY FOR EMPLOYEES. ' # The Heathcotq County Council, at last, night's meeting, considered a circular from tho Department of Internal Affairs, requesting that Anzac Day should be commemorated. Mr J. Longton moved that the whole, of tho staff and employees of the Council should he granted half a day's holiday, with wages paid Mr G. T. Burton seconded tlie motion. Miv TV. "W. Scarff asked if' it were worth while bringing the employees back on Easter Tuesday for half a day. "Why not give the men a full day? Tho factories and freezing works were closing. The motion wa3 agreed to without further discussion.
