HOSPITAL SHIP ARRIVES.

[Per. Pkess Association.] AUCKLAND, April 11. The atoimer Mahcno, hospital ship, arrived here at 2.20 a.m. to-day. 826 INVALID SOLDIERS. The Maheno, which anchored at daybreak in the stream, brought 326 returned invalids, mostly from Egypt and some from England and Malta, with eight officers and four nurses, all under charge of Lieutenant-Colonel Elliott, New Zealand Medical Corps. There are twenty-six cot cases, one of a man who lost both his legs and two who lost one leg each; others have lost an arm or an eye. One returned soldier is a remarkablo example of surgical skill. He is a young Engineer, who had the back of Ins skull blown away, and is so skilfully patched up that he is able to walk about. There will be an officA&l reception at 4 p.m. . CASUALTIES.
