ARTILLERY ACTIVE.
ENEMY REPULSED IN LORRAINE. The High Commissioner reports:— LONDON, April 9 (5.25 p.m.). The French official report says that we*Sl of the Mouse there has been alight artillery activity during the night. To the east we made some progress in the communication trenches south of Douaumont Tillage, taking 150 metres of enemy trenches., .; To the south-west two German grenade attacks on our positions in the Bois de La Caillette were repulsed. In the Woevre the night was comparatively calm, and in Lorraine the enemy attempt on our works at Embermenil completely failed.
