CANTERBURY EGG CIRCLE.

——-♦ ANNUAL MEETING. The arinua! meeting of the Canterbury Egg Circle was held on Saturday evening. There was an attendance of eixty, nearly aii the members of the Kaiapoi district being present. Mr C. Ecrrn piesided. A motion was passed expressing sympathy with Mr G. P. Anthony in his recent bereavement by the loss of his wife. The annual renort presented bv Mr J. B. Merret! stated* that the year had been n most successful and encouraging one. Tho demand (or egfr.s had been most remarkable and <ti the present -time, although the price wa? 2s a dozeu, the supply was insufficient. The success of the Circle and its operations had been most remarkable, and the membership was now 155 and was increasing rapidly. Last year the egg supply totalled 7t>,lS9 dozen. Tho phenomenal growth had bpen clue to the reeojrcitio-.i of the Circle as ■;«, governing factor. During the coming year the Circle hoped to undertake more educational worlc. Marketin»' could also be much improved and tlie centralisation of supplies v.v.s mere to be desired.
