A STORM OF PROTEST.

TROUBLE! NAPIER. [Peii Press Association.] NAPIER, September 30. The Medical Inspector of Schools, Dr Elizabeth Gimn, who recently visited the Napier schools, reporting to the Education Board on Napier West, stated that she had beeli rather surprised to find a high percentage of malnutrition, which could only be accounted for by the fact that the school was composed of more or less undesirable children who had come from other schools. This raised a storm of protest, and a committee meeting last evening passed a resolution as foUows:- —We emphatically demand the names of the children referred to, and a full explanation -by Dr Gunn of the word 1 undesirable,' and failing a satisfactory cxp'nnatiort, that the statement be unreservedly withdrawn and tho withdrawal published throughout the Dominion, her report having been already published casting a slur on a populous and healthy residential portion of Napier."
