Cathedral Square was very lively last night with, bands of men in fancydress entertaining tho public and at th« same time soiling large numbers oi yot<?) tickets for tbo Queen of tho Festival competition. The traanway employees agam were conspicuous with a somewhat elaborate " turn-out.'' in whicli representations of the .King aud Queen were conspicuous. ... The Fanners' Co-operative Assooiartion did a very food business and a musical party provided by the Drapeni attracted large audiences. COSLUEROIAL TRAVEIjLERS' ACTIVITIES. At a meeting of commercial travellers and warehousemen l&ft iiight, callcd to consider matters m connecrtion with the campaign to secure the election of their nominee, it was decided, to hold an open-air concert in A ictoria Square to-night. On. Festival Day thirty of tho members, dressed in blue uniforms, will oouduct a Belgian court, and the remainder. garbed yr white drill coats and flannel trousers, will have collection boxes and accompany the procession. The work of selling tickets will be pushed vigorously, and also the sale of tickets in the guessing competition; for which the prize is a motor-car.
