The newsboys' strike against the pf'oposnl of the evening papers to increase the price to eightyence for twelve copies instead of fourteen copies has now been in operation for a week. It startod by boycotting the " Sun " and selling the •' Evening News,"' with the. intention of forcing the former to give way, and then attack the "Evening News." The latter has now refuser] to supply .newsboys with papers, and claims that street vendors make £o to £l2 weekly. Both firm. The vendors, «lio have the support of the suburban agents, have formed an association. The proprietors have issued an ultimatum, hxin £ th« price at ninepence I>er dozen. Papers not not procurable in the streets.
