THE WEATHER.
A clear blue sky and bright atmshino were again in evidence in Ch.ristchui'eh to-day. Tbe cool easterly 'breeze that has been blowing for some time nor/ veered .around to the north-west this morning, with tho result that the atmosphere was exceedingly warm. file weather in the North Island was unsettled generally, blue skies being experienced only at 'Napier, Wanganui and, Wellington.. Overcast and gloomy skies prevailed at Auckland and all northernmost stations. Gisborne, Cape Palliser and Cape Egmont experienced Jia.zy skies. Heavy rain was falling ao Westport and the Bluff. Cloudy conditions held sway at Dunediu, Nuggets. Grsymouth and Beaiey- Blue skies an'S line weather were the order elsewhere. Light northerly to westerly winds and moderate sens predominated throughout the Dominion. The barometer has fallen considerably. The following is the Government Meteorologist's report.:—Wind—Westerly, strong to gale. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable. Weather clouding ofer. Rain later. Barometer unsteady.
