A document relating to the existence of a German organisation for influencing tlio Press in other countries was tabled in the Houeo of Representatives. New Bills given notice of were: — For an amendment to the Commonwealth Bank Act In order to absorb the Government banking institution, an interstate Bill dealing with divorce law, a Federal Statute Bill enabling the Executive to mako regulations in relation, to the present state of war, a Bill to-amend the Federal Arbitration Act. The following passed all stages:—-A Bill to prohibit trade with the enemy, a Bill to confer Admiralty or maritime jurisdiction on the High Court and declare the High Court to bo a colo T nial Court of Admiralty; and the Crimes Bill. . . Mr Fishec, referring to the tramway case, stated that the Constitution must be amended. The House adjourned till "Wednesday.
The Senate passed the Bill granting £IOO,OOO to the Belgian Government.
