Th« opening day scratch four races were concluded 'ust, evening with the following results: Semi-final Adkins, Nightingale, Booth and Parry defeated Clothier, Taylor, Timms and Elstob by one foot. Final— Adkins, Nightingale Booth and Parry boat Davia, Gibson, Cuddon and Barrett. The following have been drawn to row together in tho Canterbury Bowing Club trial pairs:—0. L. Stapp and P, C. Hill?, R. J. Clark aud N. Burns, S. Dalton and P. S. Kennedy, C. G. C'ark and F. Clark, A. V. Gladstone and D. R. Matlieson.
