THE WEATHER.
Tho weather conditions in Christchurch to-day were a little brighter than those of yesterday. A light easterly breeze cooled the atmosphere considerably. The conditions in New Zealand have improved. Clear blue skiea and true spring weather reigned throughout the North Island. Similar conditions predominated in the South Island, the only exception being Nuggets and the Bluff, where passing showers were in evidence. Light southerly to westerly winds and moderate seas were the order in the Dninion. Tho barometer is high in the North, but low in the Sou/th. The following is the Government} meteorologist's forecast:—Wind—lndications are for southerly winds prevailing. Weather—There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather; the night will probably be very cold. Barometer - -Rising.
