The secretary of the Canterbury Association wrote, .enclosing statement and cheque, for Siins's share of 60 per cent of the gross proceeds for the/match Australia v.. (Williams, wrote, asking that the selector, in selecting his team for the second test .match' against the Australian team, should consider file players from some of the minor Associations, who had batted and bowled exceedingly well against the Australian team. It was resolved that Mr "Williams should be informed that there was nothing to prevent the placers from the minor Associations being selected and that his letter had been handed over to the' sector. The honorary Secretary reported that Mr Frank Laver had asked him for a further payment of £250, and'he had asked the treasurer for a cheque for £250, which the secretary had placed to the credit of Mr Laver at the Bank of Australasia,' Christchurch. It Avas resolved that the action of the honorary secretary should be confirmed. .
