Mr Cook, the Feedral Premier, addressing his constituents, advised the Liberals to prepare to select candidates. He said he was unable to state {tho exact date of the next general election. He .hoped to do some badly needed things, including the cleaning up of the electoral rolls, before the dissolution. Mr Fisher's request for a dissolution of the House of Representatives only was, he said, absurd, as the people must be given an opportunity to restore tho political balance."
