TALE FROM THE STATES.MASTODON DREDGED UP. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received November 15, 10.40 a.m.) NEW YORIv, November 14. The remains of a mastodon was found 150 feet beneath tho surface at Seattle when hydraulic machinery was excavating for tho new sports stadium. Professor Bretz, of the State University believes that such monsters were common in prehistoric ages on the Pacific Coast. None have been hitherto found on the coast, however.
