CANTERBURY CENTRE
The adjourned meeting of the Canterbury Athletic Centre of ' the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association and committees of combined clubs in Christ-church was held-last night at the Pioneer Club's rooms; present—Messrs P. Menzies (chairman), D. Cox, D. M. Robertson. E. M.- Strachev, C. H. Fleming, C S. M'Cully, D- P. Murray, W. H. Down, J. Mansell and C. T. Mosley. The combined clubs guaranteed to hold the sports meeting in connection with the visit of the American team of athletes which is due here on Saturday, December 13. Preliminary meats were made and sub-committees were appointed to draw up the programme. Mr Flower, of Christ's College, was appointed official starter. It was decided that a deputation should wait on the Cricket Association with regard to postponing the competitions on that date.
