The Labour Conference passed resolutions that the Insurance Amendment Act should become universal and non-contributory,- favouring an eight-hours day for all workers; the abolition of unenv ployment; a national minimum wage of 30s weekly; making complete provision against sickness; a healthy home' for everyone, and the abolition of the poor law.
