RAILWAY ACCIDENT;

A double railway accident occurred near Murphy's Creek. A cattle train was. derailed, and the Jine was blocked for ten chains. While a breakdown gang was clearing , the wreckage, a train of empty cars ran into tlio debris, and five workmen, named F. Freese, James Little,, P. j. M'Carthy. Charles M'Gregor and Walter C'lavdoii, were killed, and five were injured, two seriously. • • i

John Muirhead, a ; widower, while driving -the Corporation dust-cart at the wharf this morning, appeared to. collapse 'and fall off the dray, a wheel of ivhich passed over his body. When picked up he was dead. It is thought that his- collapse was due to heart failure. •
