A Paris message says that rough seas and gales repeatedly compelled the • torpedoers in the French Channel manoeuvres to return to port. The destroyers pluckily maintained contact with the armoured warships, while th© submarines, after a whole night at sea, torpedoed the; battleships Tinder the English coast.
