THE LATE MR PETRIE. DISCOVERY OF THE BODY. ' THE INQUEST. The body of Mr G. Petrie, senior, was found at eight o'clock yesterday morning floating in one of the waterholes on the Seadown Estate, near Ambqrloy. The hole is about six feet deep find thirty feet long. Mr Petrie had taken a contract to build a house on. an estate in the district, and began the work about a month ago. He was missing for nine days. The hole was dragged twice last week. Hie body was found by the constable stationed at Amberley, who, with two constables from Christchurnh, had been searching since Mr Petrie's disappearance on April 12. An inquest was held at Amberley yesterday before Mr W. H. Rhodes, act-ing-coroner. After evidence had been given, he returned 'a verdict that the deceased had committed suicide while of unsound mind.
