COMBINED BANKS. Tlie combined banks hold an athletic meeting at Lancaster Park last evening. A short programme- was carried out, and in all the events good running was witnessed. Mr T. 11. Flower was starter and Messrs Beadle and Lynskey were- judges. The events resulted as follows: lOOvds Championship—First heat: L H. Parson (8.N.Z.) 1, 13. Smith (8.N.Z.) 2. Second heat: L. Brinkman (Union) 1, J. Clavton (Union) 2. Final: L. Brinkman 1, B. Smith 2, J. Clayton 3. The only starters. Intcr-bank Relav Race, SBoyd= Hank of New Zealand (L. 11. Parson, S. V. Pickett, H. Leslie, Bowden, B. Smith) 1, Union Bank 2. Mile Championship—L. IT Parson (8.N.Z.) 1, J. Peed (N.S.W.) 2, J. M'ltae (Union) 3. Parson, running; strongly, left Peed 300 yards from homo and won easily. Old Timers' Race—W. Bende] (Union) 1, O. March (X.Z.) 2, P. E. Lynskey (N.Z.) 3. A good race, Beadel just beating March on the tape, with Lynskey a good third.
