United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 23, 10 a.m.) TERRIFIC HAILSTORM. SYDNEY, March 23. A terrific hailstorm was experienced near Goulburn. Miles of fencing were carried away, thousands of rabbits and other small animals were killed, trees were stripped, and hailstones were piled to a depth of eight feet in places. COMMONWEALTH SMALL ARMS FACTORY. Work has started at the Commonwealth small arms factory, and the first rifles will be ready in two months. WIRELESS. MELBOURNE, March 23. The Marconi Company is applying to the High Court for an order to inspect the Federal wireless station, with a view to discovering if its patents have been infringed.
