THE LATE MR MALET.

THE FUNERAL,

The funeral of the late Mr F. de C. Malet took place this afternoon at the Riecarton cemetery. The funeral cortege was a long one, and included representatives of tlie various publio bodies and commercial enterprises with which tho deceased gentleman had been associated. The funeral service was conducted by Dean Harper, and there was a large attendance at tho graveside. Amongst those included in the funeral cortege were Mr Justice Dcnniston (representing the Supreme Court), tho Mayor, Mr J. J. Dougall, and town clerk, Mr H. R.
