Kvidenco -was given to tho effect that the eases were in good order when stored at Melbourne, but on discharging at Wellington one case was found damaged and the tobacco was missing. The accused were working in. the hold, and when being searched one (Young) dropped a plug on tho floor. All the defendants were committed for iriaJ.
