The Chinese in Pekin declare that the Court ordered the murder of Wu. The mounting of cannon on the walls of the city Ims been forbidden. The Court is preparing for flight, and has already sent its servants to Jehol. The revolutionaries are in pas.sc.ssion of Fuehau and Taichau. MANCHU PLOTS IN PEKIN. It is reported that Manchu plots to murder members of the Assembly have been discovered. at Pekin. Two hundred carts transported the Palace treasure from Jehol (Chang-te) to a secret hiding, place. Conferences with. Mongol princes foreshadow tlio Court joining tho Mongols and seeking Russian, proteo tion. The Regent, in order to prevent the rebels reaching Pekin, proposed to cut the railway southward of Sungtai, but desisted on Sir J. Jordan, the British Ambassador, declaring that Britain was entitled, to operate- the railway under an old agreement. Fighting is now going on at Nankin, the southern capital. The Manchus are strongly entrenched in positions commanding the city.
